SE A100 phones / Generic SE phones

A. Go to Menu> Settings> Connectivity> Data comm> Data Account> New account> GPRS data
NAME:
Kahit ano gusto nyo. Pero suggestion ko eh ipangalan nyo sa trick at kung ano network. Example, IP Trick Smart.
ACCESS POINT NAME OR APN:
For globe: http.globe.com.ph
For smart: internet
For sun: minternet
For red mobile: redinternet
USER NAME: blank
PASSWORD: blank
(press SAVE)
B. Go to Menu> Settings> Connectivity> Internet Settings> Internet Profiles> New profile
NAME:
Pareho na lang ang ipangalan gaya sa ginawa kanina.
CONNECT USING:
Piliin ang name ng access point na ginawa mo kanina.
(press SAVE)
>Edit/Check the profile (piliin ang ginawang profile then click MORE then SETTINGS)
Then enter details for the following parameters:

Nokia S60v1 to v3

Maraming versions ang nokia s60 phones pero halos pare-pareho lang naman ang pagconfigure.
Sa phone menu, punta lang sa TOOLS> SETTINGS> CONNECTION> ACCESS POINTS. Sa OPTIONS, pwede kayo mag-edit ng existing access points or gumawa ng bago. Ganun pa man, eto yung mga dapat ma-edit at kung ano ang mga ilalagay.

Nokia S60 (OS7 units)

jProxy v0.10 hardcode test version, a proxy wrapper for symbian phone s60v2. Running in python s60 module.
This is only a test which will only work for globe users.


With jProxy's unique algorithing, it can wrap java applications to use proxy. Usefull for s60v2 os7.

INSTRUCTION:
You must first download jProxy v0.01 hardcode test
Then install. (You must install all python libraries first including MISO ).
1. Create a new access point and name it jProxy.
2. Set access point to http.globe.com.ph( jProxy test is built for globe only )
3. Go to advance settings and set
proxy: 127.0.0.1
port: 529
4. Run jProxy.
5. Select Start jProxy and UI/user interface will exit but jProxy will run in background.
6. After running it should ask for an access point so select the access point you just made (jProxy).
6. If running na ang jProxy then you can now start opera mini 4.2. ( handler required )
7. jProxy have it's own URL wrapping called jurl so it will know to which application it should establish proxy connection.
Set http server to jProxy mode by adding 127.0.0.1:529/jurl? between link header and server.
Exp.
http: //127.0.0.1:529/jurl?server4.operamini.com:80
leave the rest of the settings as is.
8. Press ok to start opera mini 4.2.
9. Wait nyo lang mag loading and then boom connected na
ENJOY!

Nokia S40

I'll just add these link:

Para sa mga nagsisimula pa lang, heto ang step-by-step guide:
STEPS

STEP 1
Kumuha ng internet capable sim (smart buddy quick access sim, smart buddy browser sim, globe starter sim, globe tattoo sim, or the new globe extreme memory sim). Old sims won't work with IP Trick kahit na na-activate na noon. Importante ang sim kaya kung wala ka nyan, hiram ka muna o kaya eh bumili na lang. Below P10 dapat ang load kapag smart at sun networks para di kainin. Below P5 naman kapag globe network.
STEP 2
Mag-download ng opera mini
DITO (press)
Pagkatapos mailagay ang operamini sa phone, punta sa next step.
STEP 3
Punta sa link na ito at pumili ng prov file na para sa network mo. May instructions na rin dyan kung ano ang gagawin at paano paganahin ang prov file.

Prov files and Instructions

Hindi na-e-edit ang proxy at port sa mga Nokia S40 units kaya kelangan ng provisioning file (prov file) na naglalaman ng proxy at port na nirerequire ng isang trick. Provided na ang prov file dito sa thread. Attach ko na sa baba ang mga working prov files for operamini sa ngayon.
Prov file instructions:
Download the prov file and extract the content using a pc or file extractor mobile application and send it to your S40 thrubluetooth (zip file kasi yan at dapat eh via bluetooth talaga). Ang i-bluetooth sa cp ay yung laman ng zip file. You will receive it as configuration settings. Then go to your phone menu>settings>configuration settings>then choose the prov name as default config. Sa prefered access point, choose Smart Internet or MyGlobeInet or depending on what network you use.
Other alternatives in managing prov files:
  • Pag nasa phone mo yung prov file (.prov na ang file extension), i-bluetooth mo lang eto sa isang china phone or a sony ericsson phone tapos i-bluetooth ito pabalik sa phone mo. You will receive it as configuration settings. Save it and then punta sa SETTINGS> CONFIGURATIONS> ACTIVATE IT AS DEFAULT AND CHOOSE THE PROPER PREFERED ACCESS POINT.
  • Pwede rin ipasa sa nokia S60. Mapupunta yun sa inbox nila. Do not open it kasi invalid file sya sa S60. Just highlight the message then press options then send thru bluetooth.

STEP 4
Kapag ok na ang prov file as default configuration settings, puntahan na yung Opera Mini. Huwag muna buksan, just highlight it. Press OPTIONS> APPLICATION ACCESS> COMMUNICATION> then sa NETWORK ACCESS, i-set mo sa ASK FIRST TIME. Then sa OPTIONS ulit> APPLICATION ACCESS> DATA ACCESS> then saREAD/WRITE USER DATA at ADD/EDIT DATA> set mo sa ASK EVERYTIME. Kung hacked ang phone, set toALWAYS ALLOWED. Dapat gawin ito para mawala yung annoying prompts everytime na nagcoconnect sa internet.
STEP 5
Buksan ang operamini na pinadownload ko at click OK. Mag YES lang sa magpapakitang prompts. Then installing na yan. Kapag installed na, press menu > tools > settings > settings (ulit) > check the box sa tabi ng mobile view then click save. And there you go, free internet more suited for mobile.
